Understanding How Your Child Learns. Discovering What They Need to Succeed.
Comprehensive Evaluations. Meaningful Answers. Individualized Recommendations.
When a child struggles academically, socially, emotionally, or behaviorally, understanding the underlying reasons is an important first step toward providing meaningful support.
Dynamic Learning Solutions offers individualized psychoeducational and educational assessments designed to identify learning strengths and challenges, explore suspected disabilities or developmental concerns, and provide families with a clearer understanding of their child's educational needs.
Our comprehensive evaluation approach combines standardized assessment instruments, developmental and educational history, input from parents and educators, clinical observations when appropriate, and individualized recommendations to support informed educational decisions.

DYNAMIC LEARNING SOLUTIONS | EVALUATIONS
A Thorough, Individualized Approach to Understanding Your Child
Our comprehensive evaluations use research-supported assessment practices and multiple sources of information to develop a well-rounded understanding of your child's strengths, challenges, and educational needs.
Rather than relying on a single test or score, we examine patterns across cognitive abilities, academic performance, developmental history, observations, and relevant social-emotional or behavioral information. Assessments can be adjusted when additional concerns emerge during the evaluation process.

*Important Information About ADHD and Special Education Eligibility in Texas
In Texas, students considered for special education eligibility under Other Health Impairment (OHI) due to ADHD must have documentation from an authorized medical provider that identifies or confirms the applicable health condition. Under Texas Administrative Code §89.1040, this documentation must be provided by a licensed physician (including a psychiatrist), physician assistant, or appropriately authorized advanced practice registered nurse, such as a qualified nurse practitioner. Although psychological and educational assessments can provide valuable information about ADHD-related symptoms, attention, executive functioning, and educational impact, the required medical documentation is a separate component of the OHI eligibility process.
Please note: A diagnosis of ADHD or another disability or condition does not automatically establish special education eligibility. In public schools, the Individualized Education Program (IEP) committee or Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee determines eligibility based on applicable state and federal criteria, including the student's educational needs.

Your Child's Evaluation Journey
Parent Intake Packet
Once your evaluation appointment is confirmed, you'll receive a Parent Intake Packet to help us begin getting to know your child. The packet includes important forms and questionnaires designed to gather information about your child's developmental history, educational experiences, strengths, and areas of concern.
Completing these materials before your initial consultation allows us to better understand your child's unique needs and prepare for a thoughtful, individualized evaluation experience.
Appointment 1 — Parent Intake Interview (Virtual)
We discuss your child's developmental, educational, medical, and family history; current concerns; strengths; and previous interventions or evaluations. This information helps guide the assessment plan.
Appointment 2 — First Testing Session (In Person)
Your child participates in individualized assessment activities, typically including cognitive testing and other measures tailored to their needs. Time is spent establishing rapport and creating a supportive environment.
Appointment 3 — Second Testing Session (In Person)
Testing continues with academic achievement measures and additional assessments related to identified concerns. More testing sessions may be needed for complex evaluations, including some autism-related assessments.
Appointment 4 — Results & Recommendations Consultation (Virtual)
We review the written evaluation report, explain the findings and scoring patterns in clear language, discuss recommendations, and answer your questions.
Additional sessions may be scheduled as needed.
Between appointments, the evaluator completes scoring, data integration, interpretation, and report writing. Parents and teachers may also be asked to complete standardized questionnaires or rating scales. The number and length of sessions depend on the child's age, assessment needs, and complexity of the referral concerns.
